Animal Ethics and Veganism

Three-Year Plan and Beyond

ONLY THEN

First, the Vision

For the vBriefings website to have maximum usefulness, it needs to offer briefings on a wide range of topics.

  • It’s only then that the site can provide an encyclopedic hub for those seeking to explore veganism and animal-rights issues, offering concise briefings rather than extensive essays.
  • It’s only then that we can send our friends, family, acquaintances, and interlocutors here, knowing that all the bases are covered.
  • It’s only then that this site can reach its full potential as a rich knowledge-base of resources for exploring, memorizing, building presentations, and sharing visuals.

Outreachers on the street

GREG FULLER

A Word from Our Founder

“I have spent years traveling across the United States, volunteering at outreach events, working festivals, doing tabling, and giving talks.

“During that time, I have had literally hundreds of conversations on veganism and animal rights, answering objections and covering various topics.

“It was from these direct experiences that I envisioned the concept for this site. This is the site I wanted then, and from conversations with other activists over the years, I know that the need for this resource is real.”

Since I started developing this platform, it has been refined and tweaked many times based on feedback from my advisors. Thanks to everyone who contributed.

Workflow

Each briefing is a production in itself, which can involve not just research, writing, and editing, but also the creation of videos, flash cards, slides, memes, and infographics.

Tools

Project Management

Our briefing creation process can involve numerous volunteers and associates tackling over 50 interdependent tasks to produce just one briefing. To maintain organization, we leverage a powerful project management tool.

This comprehensive software offers features for projects, tasks, subtasks, dependencies, calendars, assignments, time tracking, resource allocation, and multiple view options.

Additionally, we are documenting the requirements and process for each task. This ensures clear expectations for assignees and fosters institutional knowledge for long-term success.

Stages of Development

Where we are, where we will be, and how we transition.

Short Term: Standardize and Migrate

Now that the platform is built, we are standardizing our workflow and templates.

We are also migrating content from justiceforanimals.org and revamping it to conform to standards.

Mid Term: Generate Content

This will be a period of intense activity, generating content according to the workflow diagram above.

The goal is to complete the 100 plus topics mentioned earlier within three years.

Long Term: Update and Transition

After our our base of content is completed, we will refine our content to keep it up-to-date with current studies and information.

We will also begin to transition into educating people on effective outreach with workshops and talks.
